The Majorcans once met their famous guests with distance and rejection due to their scandalous love affair. Today, the Carthusian monastery is a significant attraction, primarily due to the traces that Chopin and his lover left behind. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Relaxed atmosphere with historical charm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's not just the monastery complex above the village rooftops that attracts many culture-interested visitors to Mallorca. The romantic townscape with its houses built in the typical regional architectural style and winding 16th-century alleys also makes Valldemossa a popular destination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The houses are with <strong>decorated with colourful, richly detailed tiled pictures<\/strong>,which depicts Saint Catherine of Thomas. In her birthplace, the shrine behind Sant Bartomeu church also commemorates the only saint of the Balearic Islands.
