Tea Time with Hollywood Stars

VIP Estate Agent Marcel Remus celebrates with Barbara Eden, Morgan Fairchild, Brigitte Nielsen & Co.

Only a few days left, then it's time again for „And the Oscar goes to...“. Would there also be an award for the best Pre-Event, the winner would already be decided: Marcel Remus.

The famous Mallorca estate agent is hosting a get-together in Los Angeles for the first time – and in the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, which is the place to be during Oscar week.

Anyone who wants to see and be seen sits here in the lobby. Marcel has for his „Remus Pre-Award Tea Time“ the elegant bar, where stars like Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe once sipped their champagne, was rented. This time, however, there will be no alcohol. Following the estate agent's motto, „Everything different from everyone else,“ he is this time inviting guests for waffles, small sandwiches and vegan cakes – and of course, coffee and tea. „There are so many champagne receptions at the moment, I wanted to create a setting where people can comfortably network and meet friends,“ Marcel explains his idea.

Among the approximately 50 guests at the exclusive event are, alongside entrepreneurs, millionaires and billionaires, stars like „I Dream of Jeannie“ Barbara Eden, Kate Linder, who became world famous with „Shadows of Passion“ and even earned a star on the Walk of Fame, „Gossip Girl“ Kelly Rutherford, the „Law & Order“ beauty, who was born in Düsseldorf Elisabeth Röhm and Hayley Hasselhoff, the daughter of singer David Hasselhoff. She describes the pre-Oscar feeling in Los Angeles as follows: „You can really feel the excitement in the city. Everyone is in Oscar fever.“

It's definitely the most interesting time to visit the City of Angels. „But try and get a hairdressing appointment now...“ the model adds, laughing. Brigitte Nielsen is glad to have a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city: „It's so great that there's finally a Relaxed event “in a cosy atmosphere with coffee and cake is rare." Frauke Ludowig supplemented: „The tea party is not only great for us guests, but it's also for a good cause.“

Marcel isn't just inviting Morgan Fairchild & Co. to network – he's also donating. 10,000 Euros to the DKMS, that gives blood cancer patients a second chance at life with the help of stem cell donors: „Unfortunately, the blows are getting closer. I increasingly hear from friends, customers, and people around me who have received a cancer diagnosis themselves or whose close relatives have. I want to make a small contribution in the fight against the disease.“ Katharina Harf, Chairwoman of the DKMS Foundation Council, personally accepted the donation on site and thanked them for their support.

But why is the estate agent even having the tea party? „It's always been my dream to one day have..." Event in America “to get off the ground and I'm now fulfilling that,„ he reveals. There are now also direct flights between Mallorca and America. Which brings us to the deeper meaning of the event. “The new routes naturally also attract new potential property buyers, and the special thing about Los Angeles during Oscar season is that the crème de la crème of the country is in the city – and often even in the hotel. So it just makes sense to hold the event here and now," explains Marcel Remus, who has always relied on a very American marketing concept and swears by self-promotion.

Will he soon be brokering huge mansions for the stars in the Hollywood Hills instead of selling luxury fincas in Mallorca? „If I were 20 years old again today, I might really go to America. But I wouldn't put myself through the stress of setting up a branch there now. Things are simply going too well on the island for that. I'd rather grab the American customers, who are enthusiastic about Mallorca.“ And there are certainly many of them. Besides Barbara Eden & Co., the Hamburg power broker was enthusiastic about the tea party Davina Potratz, whose career has taken off, if not earlier, thanks to the Netflix documentary „Selling Sunset“, model Marie-Lou Nürk, plus-size role model Sarina Nowak and TV personality Nadine Klein.
