Just a few minutes' drive from the lively island capital lies Establiments, a formerly independent municipality that has belonged to Palma since 1910.

That lovely district offers a very nice escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. peaceful and idyllic living comfort and yet boasts an excellent infrastructure. Whether it's Son Vida, Mallorca's oldest golf course, or the exclusive Son Muntaner golf resort, amidst the spectacular natural scenery, every tee-off becomes a unique pleasure. And of course, water sports also play an important role around Establiments, as the sea is close by. Water sports fans are spoilt for choice on the beaches in and around Palma. Surfing and sailing, water and jet skiing, diving and snorkelling, the shimmering Mediterranean is an Eldorado for all those who love to be active in and by the water. The cuisine impresses with Fresh and unpretentious Majorcan home cookinglovingly prepared and also a feast for the eyes. Further highlights that can be quickly and easily reached from Establiments include, among others, the impressive Génova show cave,the cave, which goes down almost 40 metres, as well as the picturesque mountain village of Galilea with its rustic charm and fantastic panoramic views. The natural stone, so typical of Mallorca, dominates here, contributing to a cosy, cheerful, and stylish atmosphere with its warm colour and traditional architecture. However, modern villas are also increasingly being observed, often featuring spacious grounds, swimming pools, and beautifully landscaped Mediterranean gardens. Those who desire particular tranquillity and place great value on complete privacy will also find country estates and fincas around the area, scattered in absolute seclusion across the surrounding hills and valleys. 

In the west and north, Establiments borders the villages of Esporles and Puigpunyent, which also possess a charming appeal and are well worth a visit. As Establiments was independent for a long time in the past, the district, despite its rural and tranquil charm, still offers the complete infrastructure of a village today and also boasts perfect transport links to the centre of Palma. The many amenities of being close to the city, combined with its relaxed character, have contributed to the village being a popular choice for Mallorca lovers increasingly popular as a place to live will.
